Bioparc Valencia

Bioparc Valencia

Charmhome Apartments (Last Update: 2 November 2025)

BIOPARC Valencia is much more than a zoo. It’s a space dedicated to conservation, education, and respect for animals, designed under a revolutionary concept known as “zoo immersion.”

Located in the Cabecera Park, within the former riverbed of the Turia River, this 100,000-square-meter park takes visitors directly into the natural habitats of its animals, eliminating visible barriers and offering a truly immersive experience.

🌍 The philosophy of BIOPARC: live nature from the inside

BIOPARC Valencia was created to transform the way people experience wildlife. Its philosophy is simple but powerful: “take visitors into the animals’ habitat, not the other way around.”

Here, fences are almost invisible, and animals move freely in spaces that faithfully reproduce their ecosystems.

From the beginning, the park has had two main goals:

  • To promote respect for animals and the environment.
  • To educate and raise awareness about wildlife conservation.

The BIOPARC Foundation leads projects in education, research, and conservation, helping endangered species and spreading environmental awareness. Thanks to this work, BIOPARC Valencia has become an international reference for sustainable tourism and immersive education.

🦒 A piece of Africa in Valencia

BIOPARC Valencia offers a journey through the most emblematic African landscapes — the Savannah, Equatorial Forest, African Wetlands, and the Island of Madagascar.

🐾 African Savannah

Walk among zebras, giraffes, African elephants, lions, impalas, white rhinos, meerkats, and exotic birds. You can even explore underground life, discovering aardvark burrows and African termite mounds.

🌳 Equatorial Africa

Home to the park’s primates: gorillas, chimpanzees, mangabeys, guenons, leopards, red buffaloes, bongos, potamochoerus, drills, talapoins, pygmy hippos, and sitatunga antelopes.

🐒 Madagascar

An exclusive area featuring seven different lemur species, including the grey bamboo lemur, which is critically endangered.

🌿 Conservation and future expansion

BIOPARC continues to grow. In the coming years, a 20,000-square-meter expansion will add new habitats from Southeast Asia and South America, reinforcing its mission to showcase the diversity of life across the planet.

Throughout its history, BIOPARC Valencia has been recognized as one of the top tourist attractions in Valencia and a model for sustainable zoo management. It has also celebrated numerous successful births of endangered species and participated in international conservation programs.
